Tim Blenkin MA MRICS Director Tim was brought up in Beverley and took his MA at Cambridge, later qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor. He learnt the residential property trade in central London, and now has almost 30 years' experience in York and North Yorkshire. He lives with his wife, Claire, and two daughters in a converted farmhouse 12 miles north of York. Tom Reid BSc (Hons) MRICS Director Tom was born and bred in York and educated at St Peter's School before obtaining his degree at Harper Adams and becoming a qualified Chartered Surveyor. He started his career in the Midlands before returning to York four years ago with his family, and teaming up with Tim Blenkin. He was made a director of the company in 2005. Edward Hartshorne BA (Hons) Edward joined Blenkin & Co early in 2007 and has brought a new impetus to the team, playing a key role in the success of the business. He is from a Yorkshire farming family and has extensive knowledge of the people and geography of North Yorkshire, having lived near Pickering for the past ten years. A graduate of the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Edward is currently studying for his MSc whilst completing his RICS qualifications. All three Blenkin & Co directors - Tim Blenkin, Tom Reid and Claire Blenkin - are Chartered Surveyors, Edward is currently studying for his RICS qualification, and all office support staff have university degrees. This gives us an advantage when dealing with other professionals involved in the sale, greatly increasing the likelihood of it progressing to a successful conclusion.

our team Peter Atkinson FCA Experience: Qualified with a local firm before working with Ernst & Young in their European practice. This was followed by a spell as Finance Director for Yorkshire Post Newspapers introducing best practice, new IT systems and change to both the finance function and the business generally. As Senior partner in Atkinsons and Managing Director of Atkinsons Consulting Limited, Peter leads the team that delivers the quality service that we are all proud of. Outside work:Peter is fond of the occasional game of golf and is passionate about Rugby Union. Most of all he loves being with his family. Helen Atkinson BA (Hons) in English from Sussex University Experience: Helen has joined the practice having gained experience with Endsleigh Insurance as a Branch manager in Sussex. She has a flair for marketing and helps organise the Business Builder Forum (BBF) for clients and contacts. Outside work: Helen enjoys the gym and socialising with friends from around the UK. Jane Atkinson PA and secretary Experience: Jane runs the back office functions for the business and makes sure that the organisation runs smoothly. She has held senior secretarial roles for many years and is skilled in the office systems we use - including System Builder - the systemised practice operating system used by the whole team. Outside work: Jane enjoys home and family life but is also a keen user of the gym. Karen King Payroll Experience: Karen runs the payroll department for the firm and handles all the payroll needs of our clients. The firm operates weekly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls – as clients wish - to offer them a superb service, peace of mind and a rapid turn around time. All reports are filed electronically. The year end reports for 2005 / 2006 were filed in record time. Outside work: Karen enjoys tap dancing and gardening and organises netball training for a local school. She also enjoys holidaying abroad with her family.
